Living to 80

I recently picked a new primary care doctor. After two visits and
exhaustive Lab tests, he said I was doing ‘fairly well’ for my age. (I
will soon turn Seventy-one).
A little concerned about that comment, I couldn't resist asking him,
'Do you think I'll live to be 80?'
He asked, 'Do you smoke tobacco, or drink beer, wine or hard liquor?'
'Oh no,' I replied. 'I'm not doing drugs, either!'
Then he asked, 'Do you eat rib-eye steaks and barbecued ribs?'
'I said, 'Not much... my former doctor said that all red meat is very
unhealthy!'
'Do you spend a lot of time in the sun, like playing golf, boating,
sailing, hiking, or bicycling?'
No, I don't,' I said.
He asked, 'Do you gamble, drive fast cars, or have a lot of sex?'
'No,' I said...

He looked at me and said,..
'Then, why do you even give a crap?

That's good OC, if you're not having fun; what's the point?

Hahahahha....reminds me of George Burns. Once when asked by a friend what his doctors said about his late nights, and cigars. George, then age 95, replied...who knows, they're all dead!

When he was nearing 100, George Burns was asked about Celine Dion's long-term contract with Caesar's Palace. The reporter asked "if Caesar's Palace offered you a 10-year contract to perform there a couple of time a year, would you do it? Burns' answered that he wouldn't sign a long-term contact by saying "who knows if Caesar's will still be around in 10 years."
