Modern technology

Modern Technology

I was visiting my son and daughter-in-law last night when I asked if I
could borrow a newspaper.

'This is the 21st century, old man,' he said. 'We don't waste money
on newspapers. Here, you can borrow my iPad.'

I can tell you, that bloody fly never knew what hit it...........

Great! Still resisting to learn how to do texting.....

When I was a kid and we were camping every summer at my parent's cabin, we had an outhouse, no phone, no electricity, no water and of course, no television. Heat and cooking was via the wood & coal stove. So close to nature. Life was simple. Life was grand. Oh, and we didn't get the newspaper where we were. Just read books that we took along.

Here's a pic of me camping last week and sitting by the fire with the computer..... Now we drag around a white box with full indoor plumbing and power. We have a cellphone and television. Can you possibly imagine camping nowadays without a even laptop and WiFi?? That would really be like the dark ages!
