Considering the number of people hit, or almost hit, when bailing out of parked cars, it should be mandatory.

How many times have people here been driving in a city only to have a door suddenly open in front of them from a parked car. Drivers MIGHT know better but back seat passengers???

3 doors, one on the drivers side and 2 on the passenger side so will only see 2 door handles.

He changed his post, but didn't acknowledge his error. Read post 156, then read my quote of post 156 in post 157.

The third door on the passenger side makes sense for a city car since passenger intake is curb side anyways.
I like symmetry so it would bother the heck out of me.

"But I didn't run over anything"

Which is what we hear from many customers all the time, even when it's as obvious as our last customer, pictured below. He had one of these no-spare cars, and had to have it towed in.

Did I tell you about the time my mom ran over a garden weasel? Let your mind paint a picture of a tire that's been attacked by a metal porcupine!

Rabbit bone. Ran over road kill, and tire was flat after work. Pulled out a piece of bone and plugged the hole.

I once had an Armada with magnetized rims. I had more flats from running nails over than I could count with that thing. I even had a giant metal shard sticking out of a tire one time.

We get a lot of flats that come into the shop caused by bones. I always preach to my kids to not hit animal carcasses in the road if you can avoid them, due to this possibility.... as well as the chance of tearing out lines, hoses, etc under the vehicle.

A few months ago, we had a lady come into the shop who kept hearing a weird noise where her spare tire was underneath her SUV. She thought it sounded like a cat. We lowered the spare down, and a kitten had crawled up in it. It took off running.

The lady thanked us and told us how much she appreciated the help. I guess she remembered that as she did buy a set of tires from us last week. She asked if we remembered her being the crazy cat lady with the one on her spare.

We had a cat escape the Georgetown at Bryce. Looked for her for two days and had written her off. When I went to hook up the tow dolly in prep for leaving, guess where I found her - sitting on the spare. She used up a couple of life's, but got secure ride home.

I had a 1985 Ford Bronco II that came from the factory with Goodyear Wrangler Off-Road tires...

I had more flats with those tires than any other tires I've ever owned...

Those tires would see a nail in the road and go flat...without even hitting the nail!

Last flat I had with them I was behind a Lincoln Continental and a piece of his tail pipe fell off...

I swerved to try to miss it but caught the edge of it with my front passenger side tire and ripped a hole in the sidewall of the tire!

I replaced them the very next day with a set of Montgomery Ward brand radials and never had a problem with them...ever!

I've only had one set of Goodyear's since then...got them as a warranty replacement set for some Big 'O' tires that didn't like the car I had them on (a 2010 Chevy Cobalt).

Traded that car in a few months later for my new truck...a 2015 Chevy 2500HD!

I thought it was customary to merely scrape up dead animals in your part of the country and take it home for dinner. Or is that farther south😀
