not so much humor, just truth
Last Thanksgiving DW was going back east to spend time with her family while I stayed home with the animals and held down the fort.
Her parting words at the airport as I dropped her off were "I love you. Don't you dare buy a 60" tv while I'm gone."
Being the obedient spouse that I am I obeyed her every word and bought a 65" 4K UHD tv and mounted it on the mantle above the fireplace …
Now, while I'm watching sports on the patio on a 43" tv, she is watching recorded soap operas in ultra-high definition.
(maybe I mounted it in the wrong location?)

A while back we visited some friends in another town. My friend, John, and I were sitting on the deck and the wives were in the kitchen. I asked him if he knew of a good restaurant that I might take the wife to for dinner. He is thinking and says, "trying to think of a name, its like a flower, like they use to make perfume". I said "Rose". He turned towards the kitchen and says, "Rose, whats the name of that restaurant we always go to?"
