Museum of Flight
Wonder Woman's Invisible Plane - Manufacturer was Unknown
Donated to the museum by 1Lt Diana Prince in 2013, the very first Wonder Woman propeller driven aircraft is on display at the museum in Seattle, Washington.
A wonder to behold, it should be on every aviation enthusiast's vacation destination list.

Another "Must See"
The Davis Monthan AFB "Boneyard" Tour, Arizona.
Now that the famed F-117 aircraft are being sent to the "Boneyard" for storage, you can visit these hero's of modern aviation.

I been there - back when the B47s were being sent there. Kinda brings a tear to your eye when you think back to the time these planes were operational and how well they were maintained and how they were operated during the Cold War and other times and then to see them baking under the Arizona sun.
You can goggle and see videos of B52s being hacked up so the metal could be reclaimed.
Turbo - you will see a lot of "Tail Numbers" there being they are almost all military aircraft.

Rumor Has It
That the reason the original F-117 was moth balled is the Next Generation Stealth Fighter is even more stealthy.

I have read quite a bit about the F-117 and like the B-2 I am amazed they can fly. I keep looking for the missing vertical stabilizer. I read that the 117 is almost totally dependent on computers to keep it airborne.

Not the first aircraft with that requirement and certainly not the last.
Even the basic flight jet trainer, the Northrop T-38 Talon designed in 1959 and flown from 1961 to present, had "computerized stability augmentation" added in order to prevent flight departure from serious yaw issues.

Roger on the CSA, but the T-38 did and does have a vertical stabilizer.

we had a f15 come thru the factory (boeing stlouis) that lost his entire rt wing and it still made it home, Israel was the country, I saw tons of pictures around the plant, we also went to NAS oceana and recovered 2 F18`s that midaired and one lost the entire left vertical and outboard wing with aileron, both made it back to the station. flyby wire with 2 computers and 4 channels per really saved the airframes

Long before FBW, but a B52 (can't remember what series, but it was a Tall Tail) lost about 80% of its vertical stabilizer during some low level or turbulence testing and landed safety.

This is too funny. I have been showing it to my guys here at the shop.
I guess my mind is wired different. With market prices being what they are per ounce, I have to ponder what Wonder Woman's golden lasso is worth?

I know it may be classified, but it would be cool seeing on of those being fueled.

I was referring to the computerized flight controls.
Admittedly it was not 100% like the newer jets.

No problem - I was referring to my amazement of the lack of the VS.

The 117 has a vert stabilizer. two, in fact
While it's true it needs a computer to fly, it is only unstable in pitch. Ben Rich wrote a great book called "Skunk Works" that goes into much detail on the development of the 117.

Yeah it does, but they are IMO so much undersized for the size of the aircraft.

We were first. Why waste a perfectly good B-52 when you can throw away an old herk...
