NOT a pretty story

Well, it is not a pretty story.... about 200 dead crows near Boston, and there was concern for Avian Flu. They had a Bird Pathologist examine the remains of all the crows, and he confirmed the problem was definitely NOT Avian Flu, to everyone's relief.

However, he determined that 98% of the crows had been killed by impact with trucks, and only 2% were killed by car impact. The city then hired an Ornithological Behaviorist with a grant of 6 million dollars to determine the disproportionate percentages for truck versus car kill.

After a 2 year study, the Ornithological Behaviorist determined the cause. When crows eat road kill, they always post a "look-out crow" in a nearby tree, to warn of impending danger. His conclusion was that the lookout crow could say "Cah", but he could not say "Truck."

Here is a picture to prove it and you can see buses and trucks that did all the damage. No those aren't red wing black birds. Those are crows with bloody wings. I saw it on the internet, it MUST be true.

Sigh, what is the world coming to....

I hate explaining jokes. My VERY good friend emailed me back and said that it was not funny until I reminded him that "cah" was "car" spoken with a Boston accent.

Yeah, I have that problem too. For me it is odd, esoteric stuff; that only my oldest son gets and thinks is funny. Everyone else looks at me like "huh?"

Can't be true.... There's no such thing as a government grant to study and report on ANYTHING for as little as 6 million dollars!!!! You must hve accidentally dropped a "0" from 60 Million!

You really had us going there until the last paragraph - it sounds so like something our government would do. Thanks for a good laugh.
