The luxury in most of CA is that you can wash off your car, truck, RV, dog etc. year round after it goes in the ocean.
Rust is not really a problem in CA.

Believe it or not, we have the luxury of being able to wash your car, truck, RV, dog and even your kids off year round in ALL, not most, of those places that use salt on their roads.

I drive on the beach in NC where allowed, mixture of wet sand/ dry sand, sometimes in inches of salty water. After Im done for the week I stop at the Car wash spray the vehicle with soapy water, under neath and up top and rince, and go home. SOld that jeep after several years of doing it (93 cherokee) sold to a great friend and his daughter was still using it for transportaion to college until it was in an accident. almost 300K on it! No abnormal rust issues.
