It cost my around $500.00 USD when I backed into a state park power stand in a blinding rain...

I feel for the guy. I tow a bbq smoker which is about 16ft. behind my 30ft mh. Was going to a friends place on the lake to which he had moved to just a few weeks before and I had never been there. I missed the turn I was supposed to take and had to find a spot on a two lane road to get turned around with all kinds of traffic getting backed up behind me.
I got lucky and found a residence with a fairly wide driveway. I hit it on the third try. Even got a couple thumbs up from the drivers that were behind me!
