Red light stop

The light turned yellow, just in front of him. He did the right thing, stopping at the crosswalk, even though he could have beaten the red light by accelerating through the intersection.
The tailgating woman was furious and honked her horn, screaming in frustration, as she missed her chance to get through the intersection, dropping her cell phone and makeup.
As she was still in mid-rant, she heard a tap on her window and looked up into the face of a very serious police officer. The officer ordered her to exit her car with her hands up.
He took her to the police station where she was searched, fingerprinted, photographed, and placed in a holding cell. After a couple of hours, a policeman approached the cell and opened the door. She was escorted back to the booking desk where the arresting officer was waiting with her personal effects.
He said, ''I'm very sorry for this mistake. You see, I pulled up behind your car while you were blowing your horn, flipping off the guy in front of you and cussing a blue streak at him. I noticed the 'What Would Jesus Do' bumper sticker, the 'Choose Life' license plate holder, the 'Follow Me to Sunday-School' bumper sticker, and the chrome-plated Christian fish emblem on the trunk, so naturally. . . I assumed you had stolen the car.''

I like that one

Changing the topic. About Red Light Cameras. Here in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. They are Cutting 1 second off the yellow light so the camera can take you Pic and send you a $50 ticket for running a redlight

My son got one of those tickets in the mail, no picture mind you, from a town he's never been to.

He came by here and showed it to us and while here he called the number supplied with the ticket.

Ummm their story was that it was just a sample/trial run and that they'd mailed out a lot of them. Oh yeah? Gotta wonder how many elderly people, or people who had actually been through that town, just paid the ticket without questioning it. NOTHING on that ticket indicated it wasn't a valid traffic citation.

Funny. The original joke. Not the camera ticket.

Channel 9 called out Orange County here in Florida for installing red light cameras then cutting back the length of the yellow lights...The last I heard AAA was also getting involved in the fight......

There is a federal vehicle code that says a yellow light can not be less than so many seconds

Nice joke.

I got rear ended one night because I stopped on a yellow light, the guy that hit me said I stopped "to fast"....

On a side note the two inch ball I had in the receiver hitch caused tons of damage to the car....

Karma?

Couple different takes on these cameras. Mine is they wouldn't be necessary if people simply stopped on yellow if circumstances allowed.

We see accidents here caused by people not only failing to stop on yellow when they could of,but also running red lights.
