If we want to keep this thread going, here is another (I actually have two left in my bag):

Just go with me on the story

Back during the days of Prohibition, most people belonged to secret clubs or speakeasys if they wanted to buy alcohol. DnD wanted to get into one that was located near his apartment but he knew that you had to know the correct answer to certain questions to be admitted thru the door. This made sure no cops could sneak inside to see what was going on. DnD hid in the alley behind some boxes and watched as other people would go to the door. He saw the first person go and knock on the door. He heard a voice behind the door say 12, and the person replied 6. This person was allowed inside. DnD saw the next person walk up and knock on the door. The voice behind the door said 6 this time. The patron answered back 3. He was allowed in. Well, DnD knows he’s got it figured out now and boldly walks up to the door. He knocks on it loudly and the voice behind the door says 10. DnD replies back 5, and the door opens. Two big guys (maybe Turbs and B47) beat up DnD and throw him out in the street.
What should have been the correct response from DnD ?

It sure looks like it as the answer is indeed three. QCCowboys new nickname is the Riddler

Here's how it is solved: It's the amount of letters when the number is spelled out

TWELVE has six letters
SIX has three letters
TEN has three letters
