Been thinking about my solution to this and two trees may not count as a row.

How can we plant ten trees in five straight rows? If no bites by afternoon will post a hint. JT

Doesn't matter how we know them I think it is fun to just know them. Interesting to think outside the box.

Do you remember the bowling pin problem. Think about the ten pin bowling frame. What is the fewest number of pins I must move and how do I move them so the arrow points in a different direction? JT

Bummer! Just got on this morning, and immediately knew it was a five-pointed star with a tree at each intersection. Honest! Really!

You can move three pins.

Move #7 to the left of #2. Move #10 to the right of #3.

From the front, you now have a row of 1, a row of 4, a row of 3, and a row of 2 pins.

Now move #1 to the back of the array, and you're done.
