Ok, my last one for today.

Okay QCCowboy, I'm thinking of a number between one and 30 million, what is it?

Seriously though, here is one that isn't too hard. Get your pen and paper ready.

Okay, close your eyes and imagine a number written out in all capital letters. If the number is written in English capital letters, consisting only of straight lines, only one number has a value equal to the number of straight line segments that are required to write it out. What number is this?

I have seen a variable where you could possibly get two extra lines depending on how you write a certain letter.

TWENTY NINE (ignoring the segments on the top and bottom of the "I", which are the other two referred to in the problem)

Yep, you got it Bob. Good job and great name.

Most people write the I without the two lines, which is why the riddle states it is a written number and not typed.

You're in a room with two exits. You know that one exit leads to safety, and the other leads to certain death, but you don't know which is which.

In the room with you are two people. Both of them know which exit is which. One of them always tells the truth, and the other always lies, and they both know that, too. You don't know which of the two tells the truth and which one lies.

You are allowed to ask one of the two people one question, and then you must go through an exit based on the answer to the question. How do you decide which person to ask, and what question do you ask?

Ask either person...it doesn't matter:

Which door would the other person tell me to take?

Then go exit thru the opposite door.

After reading all the posts on this thread I have snickered a dozen times... I also came to the conclusion that you all have been cooped up inside way too long this winter. That's the only reason that could explain soooo much math going on... wink.

I think you may be right. I have to say that I am good company in some of these riddles - Herk, RVChick, DND, Turbo - well maybe not Turbo, but the rest certainly are top notch.

The only time I am at the door of a bar (and thats not too often anymore) is when I'm going in or coming out.

Sadly, it is- and I hear one of my wife's girlfriends in my head when I do. For all intents and purposes, that movie was really before my time. As a kid- we weren't a muppet family. More of a Pink Floyd and the Clash and all of the adults would go upstairs with the doors locked kind of family.

Oh sad it is- I don't EVER want "David Bowie in tights" to be the first thing I think of, EVER. Jus not my cup o' tea. (Cough, not that there's anything wrong with that!)

Appreciate the compliment DnD! ......I guess it is my turn......

I turn polar bears white
And I will make you cry.
I make guys have to pee
And girls comb their hair.
I make celebrities look stupid
And normal people look like celebrities.
I turn pancakes brown
And make your champagne bubble.
If you squeeze me, I'll pop.
If you look at me, you'll pop.
Can you answer this riddle?
