It's not m.

If everyone reverses the order of the letters it may help.

Everyone learned this in grade school. (or should have) However, our younger children today may be taught something different.

Count how many letters are in the set.....and you should have an "aha" moment.

p, n, ?, s, j, m, e, v, m - Can you figure out logically the missing letter in the sequence?

And this is not a yes or no question as in QCCowboy's riddle. I am asking for the actual letter.
How about "u"?

Technically they have declassified Pluto as a planet, so our youngsters may be taught there are eight planets, but everyone reading this was taught there were nine.

Now some of the customers I have to deal with, make me wonder if they aren't from a yet unknown planet.

In order from farthest to closest:

P-luto, N-eptune, U-ranus, S-aturn, J-upiter, M-ars, E-arth, V-enus, and M-ercury.

p, n, ?, s, j, m, e, v, m

A straight railroad track runs from Nashville to Atlanta and is 240 miles long. At the same time that the train traveling at 40MPH takes off from Nashville an eagle flying at 60MPH leaves the Atlanta train station. The eagle flies toward the train until it reaches the locomotive then does an immediate turn and start flying back to the Atlanta station. When the eagle reaches the Atlanta train station he executes an immediate turn and begins flying back to the train. This cycle continues until the train pulls into the Atlanta station. The train has travelled 240 miles. How far did the eagle fly?
