snakes alive!

We found out why there are no more mice in the trailer. This skin was wrapped around the water pump a plumbing. Found it while winterizing.

We are not squeamish about reptiles but not too happy having them so near the kids beds.

We may be trading the TT in soon!

Definitely not a Copperhead. I know. One put me in the hospital for two days. I would go with either Rat snake or Bull snake.

Whatever it is, it needs some lotion, it has a dry skin problem!

On a serious note, hopefully it is not still in the camper. Best of luck with it!

King snake family, seeking rodents, and he'll leave when rats are gone.

I wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing there is a snake potentially still on the prowl in the trailer.. Let alone how tough it would be to peel the wife off the roof when I told her about my "find"...I'd be ripping the trailer apart to find it..

Put in some large glue traps. Once he finds one he'll stick right with it.

Looked everywhere we can get to, (bottom is enclosed, not looking there) no further sign of it. We're not camping again til March, so I guess it can stay awhile if wants to. We dropped below 32 a couple of times now so whatever it was is probably under a nice warm leaf pile in the woods by now.

PA has only a few poisonous snakes, (timber rattler, copper head) and I have never seen any around our property. I have seen black rat snakes, and they are OK since they and keep the other critters under control. Had one on the driveway last spring and I did my best Steve Irwin imitation (in case I was wrong that it was not poisonous) to get it out of the way.

That said, "Snakes. Why'd it have to be snakes?"

Oh, and yes. DW is not very happy. First thing I said was "You should see this!" then I said, "Uh, then again, maybe you shouldn't."
