Come on now- like we all haven't played the role of village idiot from time to time.

Mine was last year - while sledding with my daughter I thought, "Hey, I bet I could stand up and go down the hill". I'm still shocked I didn't have a concussion!

We all have our moments...

That quote reminded me of something. One of my best friends from High School, after seeing this movie below in the 80's, started back then....and still calls me up to this day to say "You're Doomed."

I noticed he said it a lot more after I got married.

P.S. You're still doomed.

That's true, but the kids at fast food places have all too many of them and way too close together. Don't try to give them a $2 bill, it will send them into a panic.

As to the Walmart 15 items or less sign with the 3 hands ….There just saying in a polite way to abide by the request for 15 or less items express lane for those that need them as a convenience. I have in the past asked people with heaping carts if they know there in the 15 or less checkout and they tell me in a nasty way “yes”, Now the Joke, I reply… oh so you’re just inconsiderate and stand there and make them feel uncomfortable. I have worked with the public for the last 30+years and society has changed for the worst and SOME people have no respect for man or for themselves for that matter.

I think most of us guys of a certain age remember our favorite auto parts store - mine was a place called "Stoney's". You would in and go to a well worn counter that was lined with various catalogs with well worn pages, usually grease/oil stained, that the counter guy would open to get the part number of what you needed.

Cases of engine oil were stacked up along with racks of hoses and belts.

There was always a certain aroma in those places.

One of my first orders when I was old enough was a pair of 1953 Chevrolet fender shirts.

I wonder just how many places today will take a $2 bill or a Susan B. Anthony dollar coin or a silver dollar coin.

Then there was that coin that was supposed to replace the paper dollar bill (can't remember its name) that people confused with a quarter.

They all have to take them, it is US currency. You might have to have a discussion with them and count your change, cuz 90% of them can't count change back, they rely on the register to tell them.

I think that was the Susan B. Anthony dollar coin that was confused with the quarter. We still get a few of them around here every now and again.

You're correct - I just wonder how many places would recognize them as US currency.

Where do you think they got the design for the new hundred dollar bill from?

Interesting Factoid (not necessarilya joke

If you are paying cash for a ticket in the DC Metro system and are due dollars in change, the machines dispense Sacagawea dollars probably the only place in America that regularly uses that coinage

personally I think we should use the dollar coins dollar bills last on average in circulation less than 7 weeks before they need destroyed by the reserve due to ware and new ones made. Coins can last 50 years in circulation.

The strippers union must have a pretty big lobby.

Noticed that the local DRIVE UP ATM had braille on the number pads. Wonder who uses them?
