Don't rest it completely - as I said before,most of Websters definitions refer to it as some sort of container for holding a liquid or gas.

Isn't water a liquid and in this case being contained? That being the debate, i believe we are talking about a 'tank'

Yes and Yes - and Webster does define one meaning of the word as such.but he refers to it more as a container. Look it up yourself. Plus there are many more definitions of it.
