We had a hard snow in north GA. Friday and Saturday with many areas getting 8 inches or more. The local TV stations had been predicting between a dusting up to an inch or so but when it became apparent how bad it was getting the stations called it “an over achieving storm”. I guess that is their way of saying “we really screwed this one up”.

The weather man predicted flurries. They weren't wrong... However, later that day, I called the radio station and told them that we had 6" of flurries on the roads.
During the 5:00 news /weather forecast they explained the difference between snow and flurries. Even though we ended up with more than 6" of the white stuff, technically it was was still flurries not snow.
