What Brits know of the US!
Now, until 12 years ago I lived on the foggy and damp lump of rock, (more commonly known as the United Kingdom) east of the continental United States. (I now live in the frozen bit north of the 49th parallel, not in the US). While wasting time tonight I stumbled across this which I found amusing.
People In London Tried To Label The 50 US States On A Map. These Are The Hilarious Results
Most seem to know Florida - the power of "The Mouse." However, to keep things even, how many folk in the US could answer these questions about the UK geography?

Pretty funny! I tried the counties of the UK and got 11/17. That was purely random guessing.

I would not do as good with the UK as the Brits did with the USA.

Yes, but how good would they do with any states counties? I thought it was going to be a contest to find England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland... I am sure I could get most of those right

I still remember when I came 38 years ago, I was watching a tv game show, I think it was called The Newly Wed game anyway the question to four couples was ' in your area does the sun set in the north south east or west', easy right, three out of the four got it wrong.

I lived in the UK from birth until 27 (1968) and I only got 13 of them. They changed a lot of names and boundaries in the 1970's (I think). Merseyside, Greater Liverpool and Greater Manchester were all created out of bits of others, and Yorkshire was all one county.

I honestly couldn't tell you where London is on an outline map of the UK. However, if they came over and literally saved our butts from a psychotic megalomaniac who was bent on invading us, then I might feel just a touch of gratitude enough to maybe make me want to learn about their geography.
