Happened to a buddy of mine years ago, his Taylorcraft was involved in a tornado which broke the straps, a witness said it was flying pretty as could be for about 100 yards before it flipped and ended up on it's back.

Sold the wreck, which was later repaired, 30 years later he found it through the same friend that witnessed the flip, purchased it, restored it and now flies every day permissible.

WOW....talk about a STOL aircraft. I don't know where those tail numbers are from. That wasn't a USA registration. I'd love to know what the wind speed was to get that thing to lift off the ground.
