1/2 towable toyhauler

Im not looking to haul anything heavy in one. I need a toy hauler to carry my model RC Scale Airplanes. I have a 30kqbss now and I can haul it with now problems. We have a blast with it. This is out first TT and I was looking at what might be out there for Toyhaulers. Im just building bigger airplanes like 1/3 scale. They can get up to 150 wing span, true the wings can be made into 3 piece wing but, the fuselage will still be some kind of size they will not fit in my back bunk area where I store my planes for travel. Any ideas on if they make a toy hauler that is not built for caring 4xs or motorcycles? I know, then why have a toy haulers. Because I did not want to get a new truck and TT 2011 Ram 1500 5.7 HEMI 8500 lbs.tow limit

I have a 2012 sandstorm 203slc. And is made to carry toys. My yellow sticker dry weight says 5308 pounds. But when loaded can weigh as much as 6800 pounds. I pull it will a Nissan Titan and my next truck will be a toyota tundra. My Nissan does well but I know a tundra will do better. There are many toy haulers that are about the same weight as mine, all depends on what your looking for. Good luck!

Doug, the XLR Hyperlite is designed specifically for half-ton trucks. You can see the floorplans at www.forestriverinc.com/xlr

I have a Grey Wolf 26RR; tow it with a Ford F150 ecoboost with no problem. Camper loaded with 50 gal of fresh water, Polaris RZR and all the gear.
Love the unit.

Not for nothin but I'm praying for all the people that are towing these things with 1/2 Ton Trucks because it pulls it fine and it says 1/2 Ton towable.

NOT ALL 1/2 ton trucks are created equal.

What one 1/2 ton can pull another should not.
Engine size.
Tire capacity
Gear ratio
