AC vent in garage

Howdy,

There is one vent for the air conditioner in our toy hauler's garage but it doesn't have a way to close it. I'd like to be able to close it when we are not using the garage to save on cooling. Are there any reasons why I should not replace the vent with one that I could close?

Thanks!

I don't see a reason you can't close that one. Just make sure the rest in the trailer are wide open. If you restrict airflow from an air conditioner too much you risk heating up the compressor and siezing it. Just closing one vent shouldn't be a problem though. It it were me I would want to do the same thing.

Thanks for your reply NWJeeper. That is my thinking also but I just wanted to check with you experts on the forum before I order another vent.
