Adding Exterior Folding Ladder to 29V Vengeance

Hello,

I am looking to add and exterior folding ladder to my Vengeance. Anyone have any suggestions or comments?

Thanks.

Where would you mount one??? The back is out, Mounting on the side would put you over the 8 1/2 ft. limit. That leaves the front, not sure they make a ladder to fit the curvature of the front. If you could bend a straight one without kinking the tube it might work. Just my thoughts.

Frank.

I saw a folding / collapsible ladder on a 5th wheel toy hauler last weekend. Was mounted on the side near the rear. It collapsed to about 3 maybe 4 inches from the side. The owner wasn't around so couldn't ask where they got it from.

The latest Vengeance Toy Haulers have the collapsible side/roof ladder. I'm trying to get the part number from they.

My wife bought me a telescoping aluminum one at Wallyworld. It telescopes down to about a foot and a half and extends out to 12 feet. I like it, not only for the RV but around the house too.

I have one of these as well and it is very handy camping and home. It doesn't take up much room and you don't have to drill holes and mount items to the TT that you may not have blocking behind to mount too. Had a friend mount a ladder on his TT that wasn't factory and didn't have anything solid to mount to and he mounted it but couldn't really use it cause it wanted to pull off when he would go up so he was sending his son up who i thought was to young.

Folding Ladder Update

Here is an update. This is the part number for the folding ladder used on the new Touring Edition of the Vengeance Toy Haulers: 30I93888A LADDER, COLLAPSIBLE BLACK LADDER W/ TOP HAT DOUBLE TUBE, TOURING EDITION
Beware, I was informed by the factory that this ladder can not be used on other models due to the fact there are no studs in the walls to mount this ladder to. The old ladder mountings do not match the new collapsible ladder mountings.

Do you happen to know the cost? I'm interested in one as well. I bought one of those multi position ladders but the thing is quite heavy and it will take up some storage room as well.

About $450 but check thru your local dealer. It's cheaper than direct to Forest River. This is the solid aluminum ladder that collapses against the side for traveling.

I emailed Forest River about this exact issue and they told me that a ladder could not be added. I purchased a collapsible ladder as well. Works very well, light weight, easy to store. Good luck. Oh and I bought it from Amazon.

You have a link of the one you bought?

I bought the multi position ladder but it's too heavy and bulky to really use for us. I'll keep it at the house but now I am back looking for a lighter smaller ladder to use. I want to get to the roof of the camper and also use it as a ladder for the bunk beds in the back. My camper didn't even come with that short ladder for the beds.
