I bought a Zinus short queen 8" mattress and put it in the camper Friday night. Letting it fill out until we camp May 11.
I also ordered Timbrens for the truck to help reduce squat when connected. I ordered a new, longer outdoor rug and donated our old one to a friend that just bought a new camper. I ordered the Steadyfast system to help reduce the camper rocking when set up. Ordered a new flexible 5/8" 25' hose that is supposed to be easier to roll up and kink free.
My wife says she is fine with the current shower head so I opted to not replace it for now. My next thing to look into buying is a grill to use when camping. I am fine cooking over a fire and when it's hot don't want to cook inside the camper. A grill would make thing a little more convenient. I am thinking a Weber Q1200 but not sure yet and would like to have it hook up to the camper propane.
My "service trailer brakes" warning keeps coming on when camper is not connected. I found a few videos talking about this issue so I will need to look into this issue and get it fixed soon. I found a few videos that might help.
I'm ready to camp!

Nice, sounds like a lot of smart upgrades. We have the Weber and love it. However, I can't get enough Propane through the side connector in the trailer so I pull out one from the front and put it by the grill when I use it. Hopefully you have better results.

we purchased the Dynasty 10" Cool gel mattress in a short queen. We tried it for the first time this past weekend. It fits great, so far the extra space on the platform is not a problem. The jury is still out, we will keep you posted.

I thought about the Dynasty but we had already experienced the 12 inch Zinus at home and knew we would like the 8 inch as well. Plus it was $50 cheaper.

The Timbrens kept my truck level. The Zinus bed was perfect. It was a wet and cold weekend so I did not get the Steadyfast system installed. I am camping again in two weeks and will be out for 9 days so I should get it installed then.

Hey Mark,
I haven't been on here in awhile. Did those airbags keep the truck level? Hopefully y'all had a good trip.

I used Timbrens instead of airbags. Timbren Industries Inc. Suspension Products | Timbren Industries Inc. Suspension Enhancement Systems and Premium Trailer Suspensions They did a very good job of keeping the truck level.
