Any Vengeance owners

Hi there my first post on here. My wife and I are looking to upgrade toyhaulers & We really like the 320a model.

Anyone out there with this model or close to it?
My big thing is the quality of these units, R u overall happy with yours? If not does FR stand behind their products?
My current Toyhauler has had it's share of issues but all was covered under warranty & some. Thanks in advance for your comments.

We recently bought the 320A. The dealer has been good working with us but no major issues right now. When we had our 21RR and warranty issues the dealer and FR always helped us out.
If you do buy one from FR make sure to buy the extended warranty for $150. We almost missed out because the dealer didn't mention it but I read about on this forum.

Thanks for the heads up on the extended warranty. We have a local dealer who ordered a 320a & is expected to arrive here around the end of the month. We can't wait for it to arrive. There is some 15 models left out there but none near us. Iam kinda torn between the 15 &16 because the 16's r heavier by around 800 pounds. The only difference I see between the two is that they took the sliding glass door out& added a regular door that divides the garage and living area. They took the cabinets out above that door and added a loft. I'll be close on weight with my Duramax. How does your 7.3 do pulling it? How long have you had your unit? Thanks again for your response.

I like the 2016 model with the glass sliding door. Seems to give the inside a "larger" appearance. The only thing I don't get is the lack of storage in the garage. No overhead cabinets at all. I'm hoping to find ideas here but locating a mod thread for improvements on these models is tough. LMK if you find one.
My 7.3l has a power issue. I am in the process of trying to fix it. Right now it's like I'm using my 5.3 V8 from my suburban when towing this rig. Hopefully my fixes work and I will find out for sure when I take it out again this weekend. My friend moved our camper with his Duramax 6.4l and it towed awesome. So once my 7.3 is fixed up I'll be good to go.
We've had ours for about two months now. Truck issues have kept us from camping but we are (crosses fingers) taking it out this weekend.

We want the sliding glass door over the small door like you said it makes it look bigger. The dealer said that they ordered it with a loft so we were confused on that because we could not find one with a loft and a glass door. We talked to a Rep. @ FR & they said on the 16's we could not get the glass door.Do you have a loft or cabinets above your door? Or maybe yours is a 15? I added a shelf with a front lip with netting to hold things in place on my current Toyhauler. It works great for helmets and stuff like that but its nothing fancy. I can post a picture if you are interested in it. Sorry to hear about the troubles with your truck hopefully you can get it figured out. Let me know how your weekend go's & have fun.

Ours has sliding door with cabinets above the door facing the kitchen. No cabinets in the garage.
I'm about to fire up the truck and see if what i fixed still leaks. Crossing fingers still.

I understand about the truck, I love diesels but they can be a pain in the #ss. Iam about 99% sure you have a 15 model becuse we are talking about the same wall. Can you confirm what year yours is maybe over the weekend? I hope yours is a 16 model. That shelf that I was referring to that I added was in the garage. Basically on the opposite side of the wall we are talking about. Do you know how to post a picture on here? Iam not to techie. Lol. Thanks again for your time.

Maybe this worked? It won't let me edit my other post.
I put my truck back together and it still leaks but nothing I fixed. I'll have to get a camera and try to figure out the new leak.

Well the dealer called & said that it's in .We're going tomorrow to look @ it. Anything specific that you could think of while we're looking @ it please chime in.

On a different note, I have a 16k Reese Slider hitch. Do you think that's enough or should I upgrade to a 18k? Thanks again.

Just look it over really well. Check your inside door frames. The one going into the bedroom was coming loose. Check the drawers under the bed in the garage. One of mine needed the bottom panel nailed. Look it over and ask questions. A good dealer/service person should be willing to answer any and all questions. Remember there are no dumb questions.
I have a basic Reese 15k hitch that works fine. I'll eventually upgrade because of the narrow latch. It might rub the pin and create a groove but it works for now.

Well we just got home from looking at it & we put a down payment on it. It's a beautiful unit and the workmanship looks pretty good on it. A few things here and there but overall it looks great. Now we just need to set up a date to drop off our old 5th wheel and set up the PDI. Thanks for all your replies so far. Where you able to go camping this weekend?

Yes we did manage to get out for the weekend. It was a great weekend for camping here in Iowa.
FR decided that LED back lit switches were a good idea. I agree for the most part. The one by the bed you are going to want to cover. When all the lights are out that sucker is bright. I also went and switched all the regular bulbs to LED as well. The regular bulbs get really hot and eat a lot of electricity. 20pcs Cool White T10 Wedge 5050 5SMD LED 168 194 921 2825 License Interior Light | eBay

I also store mine in an outdoor storage facility. The dealer did not tell me how to "turn off" the camper so all those LED don't eventually run my battery down. Back under the nose is a turn switch that turns the battery off. It's on the side door where the battery is but on the back wall. I forgot to take a picture of it for you.

I'm also looking at changing the Dock Station lock to a regular turn knob. It gets annoying hunting for keys to hook up my water and cable. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Also you want some spray for the slides. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

I'm still trying to decide on a level for the pin. Let me now if you get one and what kind. I want a big one that I can see from the truck.

Thanks for the helpful links. As far as light bulbs I already have them in our old Toyhauler so I put the original ones back in. Your right the original ones stay so hot. We're going today after work to drop off our old 5th wheel. We will pick up the new one sometime in the next couple of weeks. We already had vacation planned for next week so when we return from that we will pick it up. Does your unit have a ladder to access the roof? Iam not seeing one on ours. Thanks again for all your help.

I don't have a ladder either which is kind of annoying. You have to clean off the top of the slides so there is no debris when bringing them in. No clue why there is no ladder.
Did yours come with a generator? Mine didn't but I really don't need one right now. I don't dry camp..yet. When we retire we plan to travel a lot and I'll get a generator at that point.
My wife and I are both 5'8" and found a small 2 step ladder that folds up is handy to have since most of the storage is up so high. I bought a metal one from Walmart.

For all you Vengeance owners, there is a new model that was shown at the Hershey show: a side deck unit that we had the opportunity to see in prototype when we attended Goshen. What is really cool is you get TWO decks! The usual back deck and the new side deck that opens off the kitchen. The deck has a TV, streo and get this-- a fireplace so you can stay toasty on those chilly nights outside )

This is a really nice unit and very tempting to get if you are in the market for a upscale toyhauler!

Iam going to ask my dealer about the ladder. Iam having my dealer add the slide toppers to our unit. It's a gotta have IMO. Our current Toyhauler has them on it. No generator either for us, we don't dry camp enough for one. However I do have a cheap Champion generator @ home for emergency use / loss of power @ home. It's kinda loud but works great. As for the 2 step ladder we have one as well & comes in handy. We looked at the Raptors & man their cabinets are really high, that's what steered us away from them.

Never heard of "slide toppers" I'll have to check into them. This is my first camper with slide outs and so far we really like them. I don't know about other manufacturers but DO NOT STEP ON THAT SLIDE WHEN IT'S IN! I was showing the camper to a friend who accidentally stepped on the coach slide and damaged the floor. Not sure if the warranty or extended warranty will cover this. There has seriously got to be a better way to protect that floor when the slide is in. We still want access to the fridge without leaving the glass sliding door open/unlocked.

When I was looking at fifth wheels I really wanted this model 2016 Palomino Revelation 3850TH, Lexington NC - - RVtrader.com but ran short on money so went with the vengeance for now.

The slide toppers are basically awnings for each slide, they are installed directly above each slide & retract in & out with the slide. No more getting on ladders to clean the sides before bringing them in.
That's a good lookin 5th wheel we never ran across that one while we were looking. My neighbor has a Palomino 5th wheel and it has been a great camper for him.

Yes you do have to be careful walking around with the slides in. I've never heard of them damaging the floor while in. That should definitely be covered under your warranty.

I saw that fifth wheel while in SD for Sturgis Bike week.
I'm making a list of of things for the dealer to fix and questions to ask when I take it in for the floor fix. Mostly just little stuff besides the slide floor but I figure if they can do it I'll let them. I've got enough on my plate with fixing up my truck.
