B&W Biker Bar
Anyone used one of these things? They had a display at Daytona Speedway this week for Bike Week, and this thing looks awesome. You drill two holes in the floor and attach the base, then you clamp the "bar" to the frame of your bike (no mods to the bike required,) and then you drive the bike into it, and it locks in. Figured I'd see if anyone has used it.

I saw on too. I really want one too. IF it's as good as the hitches, then it should be great.

interested too. I currently use the traditional set up of wheel chocks and tie downs.

Got Biker Bar installed over the weekend. Not bad to install depending on what is under your trailer where the plates go. Sorry no pictures.
Trying to get ready to leave for Colorado. It's handy to have 2 people when getting the plates attached the first time. Leaving 6/5 for Cripple Creek for a week. We will see how it rides.

Got one for my softtail last year. Put in on bike like the instructions said.
300 miles into a 2000 mile trip the bike became unhooked and fell over. The great people at Bergdale Harley stood it back up for me and replaced the broken clutch handle.
We played with it and found that the kickstand would push the release as the bike wiggled.
So we moved the bracket on the bike back farther then the instructions show. We also put a strap on the bike pulling forward.
Several thousand miles later and no issues.
I ride the bike into the toyhauler without the bracket on. Less chance of it bottoming out on the ramp. Drive partway through the mounting bracket then mount the bracket to the scooter. Couple inches more and I am locked in.
Lets go for a ride.
Ride Safe, Wave, I'll Wave Back.

Biker, is there any chance you contacted B&W about the issue? I've found their customer service to be pretty amazing- I'd bet that they would like to hear of issues to see what can be done to address them in future products.

No I have not. It is a great product. Holds nice and tight. Does not take up much room. The base is removable. I would recommend it.

OK, I just want to be clear here: your kickstand, in the UP position, somehow knocked the locking lever loose? I wouldn't have seen that one coming.
I installed two of these in my XLR--one touring and one sportster model. Both worked great on a 150 mile trip to OCMD last month, over some pretty bad "whoop-de-doos" sections of I-95. So far, I'm pleased with the BB's performance, but I don't have enough miles on it yet to give it the full 100% vote of confidence. I'm also still using a wheel chock--drive into the chock and the BB at the same time. I can't believe the kickstand thing, wow.

Yes. Stand up. End of stand is near the release. Just enough side to side play that it tripped the release on the left side. Then is just laid over.
Just moved the bracket on the scooter back a small amount from where it was shown.
Works fine now. Over 5 thousand miles.

Can someone take a picture of the bracket on the floor? I am very interested in getting one or two, but I want something that I'm not going to trip over when walking around the garage area. How flush does the trailer portion of the bracket sit to the floor? I'm up in the air between the Biker Bar and the Bolt-It-On system. Thanks! Bolt It On, Serious Racks

There's a pic of it in the first post of this thread. The nice thing is, once you drill the holes and install it, you lag bolt the lower plates (under the camper) permanently in place, and then you can remove the entire bracket from your floor.
