FR Extended Warranty

I've heard Rodney talk about the extra one year warranty FR offers at purchase. Is this just an XLR thing or does it apply to all FR brands?

Your dealer may misplace the form to buy it. Many do. Most won't out and out lie that it's not available.

FR has a additional 1 year warranty available that you can purchase for after buying your camper. Kicks in after the original 1 year expires. Check with dealer and specifically ask for extended FR warranty forum. Later RJD

Forest River offers a 2nd year extended warranty on their tow-able Campers. This includes their 5th wheel models. You need to check first with your dealer for the correct form and if they can't help you then contact Forest River directly for the form. Your time is limited in which to apply for the 2nd year warranty but sometime FR will be flexible. Also this is an extended warranty that does not (to my knowledge) cover everything that the 1st year warranty covers. Hopes this information helps.

My Primetime Sanibel, purchased Aug '15, came with the 2yr warranty.

Not All F/R! The one's that are covered it is the Same as the 1st year! The 2nd year Price is NOT the same on every unit also! Youroo!!

It's a second year bumper-to-bumper warranty for $150. Definetely a no-brainer, but some dealers obviously are not forthcoming about its existence as they probably want to sell you a service plan for thousands of dollars. Several posters have indicated FR honored the puchase after the fact within the first year, even after the 10-day application period expired.

My dealer never mentioned it. Heard from an owner a week later. Called FR, they emailed me the form. $150 on my Vengeance Touring Edition 5er. Supposed to be done within 7 days of delivery. Why would anyone NOT by it?

My dealer did not mention this warranty either but luckily I read about it on this forum and got it. For $150 it's worth the extra piece of mind.
