Just bought my first toy hauler the first time out I was unloading my harley and something on the bottom hit the diamond plate. Now I need to put in a new plate. Does anyone know is it just the top screws holding it in place? And does anyone have any good tips on unloading a bike from the 25RR the ramp is very steep already dropped my bike once and don't want that to happen again. Thanks for any help.
I am certainly no expert, or even have any experience in loading a street bike into a toy hauler but have seen people use ramp extensions similar to this.
I have a 31 foot Puma and load a Road King into it. Sometimes the frame hits but I have never had a damage you described. Try changing your angle of the ramp door when your loading. The more steep the angle the more likely you will scrape the frame or damage the ramp or bike.
I have loaded using a ramp extension and that makes it very easy. But it is a pain to set up and dismantle. Lately i have been able to load and unload by going very slow up the ramp and then putting both feet down to take your weight off the bike as you cross the diamond plate.

When my ramp is too steep and the bottom of the bike hits, I have a set of (heavy duty plastic) ramps like you would drive your car onto. I put these under the back of the ramp right next to each other in the middle. This lifts the back of the ramp up 12 inches and solves my problem most of the time.
We have a golf cart that was doing the same thing we use our blocks we put under out feet on the trailer when we load and unload seams to work good and were not hauling anything extra with us
