Gutter Extension - Need Cover

I have 3" permanent gutter extensions and I need some advice on what to use to cover them before covering my toyhauler.. They have sharp ends and do not want them ripping through the new cover. Thanks

This thread is very similar (and started by you). You really only need to ask similar questions once in a thread. Everyone will address your concerns.

I ended up using tennis balls.. Just cut a slit in them and slid them over the gutter extensions. To make sure they stayed I also used thin duct tape to secure them.. Worked great I thought.
