I just mounted my 3-bike carrier on my 4" rear bumper this weekend but now I'm reading that probably wasn't such a great idea because doing so could cause my bumper to fall off.

I'm going to use a rack I made out of pvc that I used for the back of my truck. I don't have pics yet since we just got the new trailer. Just google pvc bike rack. If I get a chance to get it in ill take a pic.

I have the same set up as burch42 but in Yakima. I haul 5 bikes without a problem. The benefit is that when you leave your site, the bikes are on the rack, locked and you don't worry as much as if they are in the bed of the truck. Also using the tonneau cover, keeps the rest of the gear out of the elements.

Mines a fifth wheel so the bed is basically gone. I like the idea of the pin box hitch. The mount one of the guys posted that will sit in the garage is also a good option. Keep posting up ideas though

What is this rack called? I have a similar cover and I think this would work well for me.

It's made by Thule. I think it's the 42" base. Then the rest you can talk to your local bike shop that would carry that brand. Or check out the Thule website. I can't recall what the names are for each part. I will try to dig it up for you though

Pinbox mount is easy and can hold multiple bikes. I made my rack and it would hold 4 bikes in 18" of space.

You can also check out ORS racks. I based what I needed off of their kit for a hard top jeep.
