How much does the ramp door playpen weigh?

Hi, I am looking at a 2019 Shockwave T28RQDX and the dry weight is 8,699 lbs. The Ramp Door Playpen is included with this rig. Most of the other models I looked at are in the 8,400 range (including Stealth and Sandstorm since they are all built on the same assembly line). The other item this particular unit has is the 1,500 watt Go Power inverter.

Between these two items can it really weigh 300 lbs more?

Forest River now includes Full fresh water tanks (150 gallons for the fresh water tank plus another 10 gallons for the water heater) when calculating the carrying capacity so the capacity is listed as 2,035 lbs.

This camper's GVWR is 12,100 lbs.

You have a 1 ton truck, you are looking at a camper that weights less then 9k pounds and you are worried about 300 pounds? Im confused.

I am worried about a Toy Hauler that claims on their website to haul 4K lbs but the actual sticker says just over 2k carrying capacity.

I was planning on putting in a 2 seat rzr (1700 lbs), a Kawi Brute Force 750 (700 lbs) and one dirt bike (250 lbs)

300 lbs gets me closer to not being over weight.

Something with the numbers is not right. 12,100 max weight minus 8,699 dry weight equals a carry capacity of 3,401. Where did you get the 2,035 number?

As far as the original question I doubt the deck railing weighs more than 30-35 pounds.

3,401 - 1245 - 84 = 2072 lbs
150 gallons fresh water = 1,245 lbs
10 gallon hot water heater = 84 lbs

I don't know what the additional math is to get to 2,035 lbs 2072-2035 = 37 lbs

It's maddening how these manufactures play with the numbers. I think it is almost impossible to rely on them for accurate information. What a shame! Your concern is vital to your purchase! Don't they understand that? I know they do, they just don't care I guess. I had a little popup pickup camper from Four Wheel Campers. They publish the base build out weight and then also publish a list of all the options with their respective weights, so a prospective owner can calculate a build. Why can't the trailer mfgs. do the same? The only sure way to know is to take it to a scales...

Mine (playpen) is attached and on caster wheels but it's not very heavy. I would guess maybe 60-100 lbs MAX. It's hard to tell for sure since it swings out when the ramp is in the loading position and when it's in patio position they roll into place.
