I pick up my new Vengeance Toring Editon Tuesday, what am I in for?

Hello! I just purchased a 2015 Vengeance Touring Edition, 39b12. I traded in a 2014 Heartland Torque 325SS after being unhappy with 1 air conditioner, cheap construction, not having auto leveling jacks and a few other things. I was caught between this and a raptor. Price was about the same, with the raptor being a bit more expensive however I hope I made the right choice. What has everyone's thoughts been on the forest river vengeance touring editions? I see suitable differences like the frameless windows, auto leveling. Is the price difference make these trailers that much better than the normal vengeance? Is there any upgrades anyone recommends doing right away? I was amazed at the weight of the keystone raptors. The hitch weight on the 395LEV I was looking at was 4,000 lbs. This comes in around 2600-2900 which is a lot more manageable. After as heavy as the raptor was, I was only left with 2300 lbs of cargo weight. The vengeance claims 6400 lbs which seems high. I am excited to go pick it up and start learning about it. Welcome Nick! We love our 39R12! Minimal problems, and we can haul both of our Harley Trikes in the garage. We upgraded to the third A/C in the garage, and had slide out toppers installed. We camped 60+ nights and traveled 10000+ miles last year, no real problems. This year will be shortened tho, as I'm having a total hip replacement on May 26th. With an estimated 6 to 8 week recovery time, we'll be lucky to get in a trip or two. Look in the Cherokee section of toy haulers, there are several Vengenance owners posting there. Enjoy!

Ultra: Not to change the topic, but your hip replacement, while still a major surgery, is not going to sideline you for 2 months. I'm a PT and work with THR recipients on a regular basis, and they're almost becoming...routine?. The surgeons are getting much better at them, and if you have a good surgeon, you'll be camping again in no time. Walk, walk, walk!

Taran, surgery was Tuesday morning, and I went home that evening. Doing the exercises, using the ice wrap, and walking! First PT is tomorrow! Thanks for the encouragement, been down with this way too long!

Good to hear your surgery went well. The first few days you'll be asking yourself "What the heck did I do to myself?" Won't be long and you'll be asking yourself "Why the heck didn't I do this sooner?" Good luck!

I am home after an exhausting trip. I had to fight tooth and nail with General Rv in Okhlahoma. I needed a new generator and inverter installed on a 2015. Long story... However, I am very impressed with the trailer. Few minor things like the garage door is binding and is hard to close, but that is an easy fix. I will definitely need to invest in a set of air bags for my truck this is a big trailer. Otherwise I wish there was room to install 2 6 volt batteries vs the one 12v. My wife and I dry camp 90 percent of the time so the two 6v batteries is the slickest way to go.

Nick, we have had our 39B12 since February and no major issues, and no upgrades needed. We have camped a dozen or so nights, and have carried 2 4 wheelers, or our Harley and a golf cart with no issues. Good luck to you.
