looking at a ???Forest River???

Hello All,

I have posted here a few times her asking this or that as I am about to buy my first rig.

2014 356QLB New Slide Out 5th Fifth Wheel Toy Hauler Travel Trailer camper Bunks | eBay

I am looking at something like this one...mostly because I like the layout..I realize this is just an eBay advertisement & I will need to add generator & oven...however, this model, as it sits, less those 2 items is just about exactly what I'm looking for.

Is this a Forest River Sand Storm? sales thing says they can't tell brand because of contractual BS, etc.....IDK? looks like it is in my price range tho...

can I get any firsthand info on this one? Also, from their website, it looks like they may not make this exact model anymore? IDK?

Thanks to all!
Sam

Yep its a puma 356qlb by palomino.
Pumas are very well built trailers in my opinion (we had a 2013 puma 295kbh, 5er and had very good luck with it. They are a little heavier, but thats fine with me if it means better quality.
I think the only problem anybodys really had was some of the inside wall boards popping the staples out, easy fix though in my opinion.
Good luck searching!

I have a Salem 32srvp which is very similar to the 356 and love it. I think it is a perfect size and weight. In order to get generator on my Salem you also needed the fuel tank which I didn't want since I have a electric golf cart. So I opted to get a portable generator instead. I don't do a whole lot of dry camping so the cheaper portable generator was a better option. As far as my exposure ce with any RV oven I have ever used is they stink. They are small and don't heat well. I have a portable roaster oven which will cook a roast turkey or bake cinnamon rolls heat is much more consistent and you can fit standard bake sheet or pans. Palamino is a brand acquired by forest river several years ago.
