I use a Condor Pit Stop for my 2016 Road Glide Ultra in my Primetime Spartan 1032 5th wheel hauler...and I do not have it bolted to the floor. I have the chock fully forward against the wall below the sliding door. Pressed against the wall with a 2"x24" scrap rubber piece in between (probably not necessary)...and the chock/bike cannot move forward. use 2 straps pulling forward on the front D rings, 2 on the sides and 2 pulling rearward....and the bike solid as a rock. I have traveled thousands of miles over the years hitting bumps that sent my 38 foot hauler in the air...and the bike never moved an inch.

This is a rock solid chock...It locks the wheel securely and the bike stands up with no straps, so you can use it in the garage too.

We ended up purchasing 2 WheelDocks and their tie down bundle with the wheel strap, for the Ultra Classic and Heritage Softail Classic, and are setting it up in our Primetime Spartan 3210, not bolting it to the floor. Installing it just like RockyMtnMarty. $225 per Wheeldock, $45 per tie down bundle, $75 UPS shipping, rec'd in 3 days. Shipping cost was ridiculous! Must order directly from WheelDock.

Did a trial run this weekend with the WheelDock on our 7'x12' open trailer, not bolting it down to the floor of the trailer, only tied down the front at the forks (not handlebars) to D rings, plus used the strap around the wheel to the WheelDock. Our driveway is long and pretty bumpy ... trailer bounced around a bit, but the Ultra Classic rode perfect, upright and not leaning a bit and more importantly, ratchet straps held tight and didn't loosen up. When we set up the WheelDocks in the hauler, we will tie down the rear of the bikes down.

Here is a plus, when not in your trailer us them in the garage for parking. I have my WD on my lift table and drive the ultra classic on the table an hit the operating lever with my toe and get off the bike.

I found out you really don't need a chock, at least I don't. I just got done towing my Suzuki Burgman 650 over 2500 miles in my 22RR with no chock. Yes it's a scooter but it still weighs 600 lbs! I pulled it in and place a wood block under the side stand to keep it some what upright. Set the parking brake. Straped the rear on both sides to plumb the bike and raise the side stand. I straped the front through the tipple tree and added a strap through the front wheel to the center tie downs as a safety measure in case of a hard braking. Most of my mileage was on 95 south of Virginia, definitely not a "nice" road to tow on. No movement or shifting at all!

With the Ultra Classic @ 900 lbs and the Heritage @ 750 lbs, I would rather be safe than sorry ... I'm using a wheel chock.

Pitbull here but I use it on my sport bike. I love how easy it is but the up front cost is rather high at $300. Taking the bike in/out has never been easier and I love how well it holds the bike in place.

WheelDock wheel chock

Installed 2 WheelDocks for 02 Ultra Classic and 08 Heritage Softail. We also purchased the tie down strap kit with wheel strap for each bike. Quick and easy to strap down the bikes, I rode the bikes in and she straped them down. Done in less than 10 minutes. Did not bolt the WheelDock to the floor. Did a trial run in our 2017 Spartan 3210 to see if the bikes would move. Drove for about 25 miles on a really bumpy road ... bikes didn't move at all and the ratcheting tie down straps didn't loosen up a bit. Good quality product, would highly recommend.

Sorry off topic but are wheel chokes only needed for heavy bikes? I've hauled my bikes (less than 500lbs) all over for years and never used one. Most of the time I use a rear stand, strap it down and call it a day.

It's a good affordable investment for any size bike. The roll in tipping chock I use locks the bike in upright. Makes it a breeze to strap down. Plus if one strap came undone or broke the bike would still stand instead of flopping over.

Thanks. I may try one out, most of my bikes were track bikes and have seen plenty of spills. I now have a Ducati Monster 821 and think I would shed a tear if it dropped.

I own one but I will say unnecessary for sport bike and dirt bike. I compress the front forks and use straps on all corners. I use a cycle cinch or canyon dancer 2. If you can strap your front wheel so it can't be turned then that is even better

The pit bull trailer restraint system is pimp.

FYI too that if you don't bolt the chock down it can be very hard to get your tire out. It is often a two person job to keep the chock down and one guy pull the bike back. I recommend a hand towel in between the tire n the metal so it won't stick.

I don't use my chock when bringing my 1098s to the track in my toy hauler. I use straps and front wheel against the gate/ramp and then strap the rear down too. Zero issues

I just installed the harbor freight wheel chock in my 373 and it mounted to the steel plate under the garage floor. 5 inch bolts with ny-lock nuts. I still use saps but the chock is great start to securing my goldwing.
