New ride! 2018 Ram 3500, Cummins

4x4, DRW, 4.10, and auto level rear suspension. Went with the tradesman with a few upgrades to save money. This is my first dually so it’s taking a little getting used to. I will be adding mudflaps and nerfbar right away. Looking at tires and wheels at some point in the future.

I hate the mirrors compared to my F250, which seems to be the consensus of others online. Otherwise this things a BEAST!

That's a lot of truck for the 30WRS. But I know from first hand experience, the 30WRS is a tongue heavy animal.

One of our camping friends has a new 3500 Ram and he absolutely loves it.

I predict a large fiver in your future.

I’ll be truck shopping later this year and it’ll likely be a Ram again.

What is your cargo carrying capacity?

Do you know the GCWR?

Nice truck, congrats

I suggest actual running boards rather than nerf bars to keep the side of the truck protected from road spray, mud flaps can only do so much.

The tongue weight is part of why we upgraded. Very heavy, the f250 didn’t cut it. We will be upgrading to a fiver at some point, this truck will handle almost anything we could buy. I see money leaving my bank account in large quantities in my future.

Will do! White paint is going to be a problem.

Mirrors

Give those mirrors a chance to prove themselves. My 17' I had the same initial thought, but when you tow with them in the "Moose" position you may change your mind. I really like my Ram 2500, and like your choice as well. My next one will look like yours, with more bells.

Great choice, enjoy.

Moose position.... Exactly.

So far I really don’t like the down position but I haven’t towed yet, working on the initial 500 mile breakin. I’ve been driving in the moose position which gives me better coverage with the dually. I have power mirrors on the F250 and got in the habit of retracting my mirrors after parking in tight spaces. It’s a pain not having power mirrors on the Ram.

I have a Laramie, and the mirrors retract. You may be able to buy that option after the fact, but it is a great option to have, I use it all the time.

Yeah, I’m going to see if I can add the upgrade.

I purchased 2017 3500 Laramie SW 4x4 with the Cummins/Aisin transmission. Towing my 34' Windjammer and soon going to 5th wheel. You'll love your truck!

Nice truck looks good. I just ordered a 2018 2500 but with the 6.4 gas. Can't wait till mine show up and I also got the auto suspension and auto tow mirrors. Enjoy. Later RJD
