New to FRF's and New to us 2012 XLR Thunderbolt 395 AMP

Hi guys and gals,

The wife and I recently purchased a used 2012 XLR Thunderbolt 395 AMP. We are still learning things about it and working thru some issues. Some small. Some big. We bought it without a warranty from a dealer. The previous owner I don't think knew what they were doing. We have some experience but probably could use a whole lot more!

We installed new tires on it right away and I went with LT truck tires since the previous owner had had at least 2 blow outs with ST tires.

The main A/C I think had hit a tree limb (cover busted) and didn't cool properly. Replaced with a new unit by a local service co. (not the dealer we bought it from).

Lots of other minor issues.

But, my main concern is the Schwentec slides. Our main living room slide works sometimes and then it won't. It acts like one side wants to slide out and the other side just stops and sort of gets itself "jammed". I've reset the controller and it may be fine.....or not. Depending on the day and my luck. Has anybody dealt with this issue and what is the answer for the long term?

I think we will like this Toy hauler once we work thru a few problems and have more experience with it.

Thanks,

Robert

Take a look at where the slide rails are attached to the room. I had basically the same issue with my schwintec slide and most of the screws were broke or stripped out allowing the slide to drop and bind.
