New tow vehicle, now chucking
Convinced my DH that it was time to upgrade from the 1999 Dodge Ram 3500 DRW. Selected a 2015 Ford 350 DRW, 2WD (King Ranch, how sweet my DH is!). So today we finished the 2 day project of installing the Reese adapter for the factory installed underbed 5th wheel prep kit, and moved the Curt hitch from the Dodge to the Ford. BTW, have been towing the toy hauler for 18 months with the Dodge, smooth, but some other unrelated issues.
So on the test drive, the rig chucks like mad. Lowered the hitch by two holes, and a carpenter's level on the floor of the trailer says it's dead level. Still chucks pretty hard. Also, with just two trys to go on, had a lot of trouble getting the hitch to release the pin, which almost never happened over the last 18 months (maybe twice on unlevel ground). Unrelated?
Any suggestions on what actions to take, other than going back to a Dodge?

Air pressure in the Fords drive tires is?
Tires are they P or LT?

LT tires, inflated to 65 PSI, which is what is on the factory tag on the door frame, but tire says 80 for the max load rating.

65 PSI sounds right for a set of duals and 80 PSI for singles.
Did the Dodge have a set of airbags on it?
The trailer is level, how does the truck look, nose high?

Yes, Dodge had airbags, used to have a humongous cabover camper and pulled a 3 horse trailer. The Ford looks fine, didn't sink as much as the Dodge when lowering the 5r down on it. Ford has 14000# GVWR package, camper package, front/rear stabilizer bar, tow package, and twin i-beam independent frt suspension w/stab bar. Pin weight on TH is #1800. Shouldn't need air bags, too???

1800 on the pin seems very light for a dually. Maybe your problem right there. Can you get anymore weight on the pin? Maybe travel with fresh water tank loaded if it's in front of the trailer axles. Firewood loaded on truck bed. Anything and see if it rides better.

My truck hardly dropped at all when the dealer lowered it onto my truck for the 1st time but I already ordered the airbags and dealer was installing for free. Glad I did cause it chucked the whole way home that day and ever since we installed the bags the problem vanished.

I have a 2013 f350 dually diesel towing 2012 xlr 305 v12 pin weight of 2200 lbs. I do not have this issue with mine last trip was 3400 miles no chucking at all
