Please read if you are buying a toyhauler !

I have a 30' grey wolf TT toy hauler 26rr. Completely loaded with motorcycle and everything is 6500lbs. ( CAT scaled weight) tanks 2/3 rds full.

Use a husky centerline 4 point active sway wdh. I do not have any problem with sway. I tow with a 2002 Ford F-150 super cab. Firestone airbags. Of course my weights and trailer are lighter than a lot of people that responded.

Good on you for looking out for others. I discovered a post similar to this about a year ago before I even settled on a toy hauler brand / size - And decided to buy a Ram 3500 dually with the factory tow prep so that no matter which one we bought - We'd be GTG.

I have a PUMA Unleashed toy hauler and one of the toys I haul is 1,800 lbs. This is nearing the limit weight wise so I need to pay close attention to what else I carry in the trailer. I put a spreadsheet together that allows me to configure the tank levels to see where I am at weight wise. Once you load up these trailers with water and gear you can easily approach or exceed the weight limit rating.

Also looking to get a Weigh Safe hitch which is height adjustable and has a scale that shows your tongue weight. Having peace of mind on the highway is vastly preferred over pulling over and wondering how you will make adjustments on the side of the highway to get it to tow correctly.

Well since I started this post a while back, I have had some more changes. After going to the Chevy HD 2500 as the main truck, I upgraded to a Polaris rzr 900s which was ok'ed by the wife! Hence a bigger toy means a bigger GARAGE on the toyhauler. A bigger GARAGE means we have to go to a 5th wheel a Palomino Puma Unleashed 351-THSS, which means a reconfiguration of the 3/4 ton with a plate in the bed and adding more length to the trailer 37 feet. Took a trip to Black Mountain Kentucky for a little 4 wheeling and vacation. Truck and trailer did fine up and down the mountains, ran about 20 minutes behind my friends that have diesels (they were pulling out from fueling when I was pulling in) and sometimes tacked out to about 4700 rmp when down shifting going up the mountain. All in all the unit pulled ok and got about 8 miles to the gallon which is what I get driving in town where I live and work. Hmmmm hey Honey what do you think about trading the truck in and getting a diesel . But your truck is not out of warranty with low miles! I found one with same milage a Chevy HD 3500 4 door with 8 foot bed and you know grandkids are getting bigger (wink wink). OK if you MUST. Well we did and I love it. Went to Windrock Tennessee with it last fall for a little relaxation and 4 wheeling. Pulls like a dream and I can keep up! PLUS I went to 11 miles per gallon and in town about 14.

This just begs the question: " If you had all this money lying around why were you toying around with that little regular cab half ton in the first place???"
