I use the Pathway X2. I have a step stool and place it on my roof from the patio when I set up. Works great for me with the Wally. It gives me access to E and W satellites. My sister has the older receiver and a King Tailgater and loves it. It is lighter than the Pathway but she only has access to the W satellites. I have seen that the newer version has access to both satellites. Hope that helps.

Portable sat dish is great. We have used our older tailgater and 211k all over the country.

Too much is made of Eastern arc vs Western arc satellite coverage. Ours only does Western and works everywhere we have been, coast to coast. If you get too far north and east (like Maine), you may have problems getting the HD satellites, but the SD satellites are good. No biggy.

I have two Dish 722 receivers at home (since I like to record when I'm out). I take one receiver on the road with me. I started out with just a Dish antenna which is fairly easy to set up once you get used to it. I recently got a winegard G3 antenna I put on the roof (only antenna which worked with the 722 receiver). The Dish antenna receives all 3 satellites (110, 119, 129 western arc satellites). The winegard gets all 3 satellites but you can only watch 1 at a time (the 722 receiver can do 2 channels at a time; watch 1 and record another; with the right antenna). So figure out what receiver (and setup) you have/want and make sure the antenna will work with it.
