storing rzr in toy hauler

Looking at purchasing a toy hauler xlr 29hfs or similar floor plan and would like to be able to store an 1100 pound rzr in the garage when the camper is stored in the lot so it doesn't take up space in my stick and brick garage. would there be any concern of having it loaded in the rear garage with it being disconnected from tow vehicle. should I just lower rear stabilizer jacks or is it fine with out?

If you are within the payload rating of the TH, what makes you think that there is any difference between towing with the RZR in it, vs. being parked with the RZR sitting in it? The concern I can think of is that folks who store vehicles in their TH often complain later of the gas smell when they open them up. No big deal to a lot of people.

I store my Harley in my toy hauler over the winter never had a problem and I don't put the stabilizers down. My first toy hauler I had 3 years (21RR) and this fifth wheel I bought in September.

When you put the stabilizers down, you don't take the weight off the axles. Stabilizers are not there to bear loads, but ensure it is stable. So if your TH is on stabilizers or not, the weight is on the axles, which is on the tires. With or without anything in it, nothing truly changes. I mean come on, my TH is like 9500lbs as it sits right now. You add 1100lbs as if it makes any real difference sitting.

Almost always trailer tires wear out from age before wear anyhow. Tires get old, crack, etc. Hard to drive enough in the period of time to have them wear out of tread.

Don't worry about it!

I do the same. I store two four wheelers in the back of my 29hfs. I have vent covers on top, so I leave the too vent open. Also don't forget to take the battery out as well as your trailer battery while in storage for a period of time during the winter months.

I store my rzr in my 30WR and don`t have any issues with it. Don`t drop the stabilizer either or hook it up to the truck. Just drop the ramp door and drive up and in. Lock it up to keep the welfare rats out .

What does your TH insurance policy say? What if something (God forbid!) and you have to file a claim? Will your agent say about you storing your toy in your TH? Just saying. It's one thing if you are "going" somewhere... but using the TH like an extra garage? Hhhmmmm?

I don't think that's a factor. But, it was surely put in there in preparation for a trip next week. Just saying.
