I completed this project today and made a quick video to show the results of my simple fix.

Think I'd prefer an electric replacement without a handle

Didn't really need one for my camper, but here's my solution for the boat trailer

They didn't charge me. They cut it, cleaned it, welded it, ground it, and handed it back. Can't complain about that, it works great.

To replace the hand crank with electric, I would have to move it's mount back several inches because the motor head is much bigger than the standard tube and handle. Tried to rotate to change, but the frame only accommodate this position without frame modifications. Why can't the manufacturers see this issue and move the jack back when building?

We had the same problem with the jack post hitting the center of the tailgate on our Ford F150. We replaced it with this jack: The Ultimate Jack | A-Frame Trailer Jack at its Finest!

If there is a 3 bolt hole pattern on the jack you should be able to rotate so its ether right or left side of tongue . You can mount the electric also to be rotated away from the vehicle. Later RJD

There is a 3 hole bolt pattern, but it is not equally spaced, ie, 2 legs are longer than the 3rd, just enough to not fit properly. The nuts are welded to the bottom of frame So it just doesn't work. So, I went with lengthening the handle instead of butchering the frame or mount base of jack.

The bolt patterns are not symmetrical and can't be rotated 45 degrees and lined up. I couldn't rotate my manual crank on my 2007 and I couldn't rotate my electric on my new one.

I mounted an electric jack on mine. The jack head sits higher thus out of the tailgate arc.
