Tailgate screen door

Hi, just purchased 2013 greywolf 19 rr toy hauler. Wanting to put screen door on back. Found cameo tailgate screen door that is larger than our opening. Anyone have any luck with these? Thanks, heading to az in couple weeks!

Welcome to the forums from SW Idaho.

Your 19 did not come with a roll up one attached?

No. I would think a screen door would be really nice for extra light & air flow

True enough.

I would but in a call to the dealer and find out if you 19 should have came with the screen and why it did not if it should have.

I don't think the 19RR was supposed to come with a screen from the dealer/factory. Ours didn't and not one of the 7 units on the lot had one either. In the 19rr pimping thread many owners are resorting to making their own.

I'd be interested to hear what you find out, we'd love to have a screen for ours too.

Woodtick, on our Wolf pack 27wp, we hated the clumsy curtain that came with the th, so I put in a roll up screen door from Stoett. Pretty cool deal, but a bit pricey. Check out Stoett.com

Wow, thanks a lot! Been gone 5 weeks in our 19 rr, learned a lot. Kinda wished we went a little bigger with the rv. Only door is in back & when stopping over for 1night, have to crawl over bike to get to bed! Must have screen in back 4sure, going to check that out! Let u know what happens!

I had one made at a local upholstery shop. It ran me about $100. He put the twist stly connectors on it. It seals very well and I really like getting the open air feeling while using it.

I have done many mods on my 19rr to date. One of the best that I would highly recommend is putting a window in the door. It really lightens up the rear of the camper and you can see who is at your door. Next up is to install a roof vent in the living area and install a 130 watt solar panel.

I had a 21rr and made a screen for the rear cargo door opening. I just bought a 27rr and it came with a screen. I believe the opening is the same. You might be able to contact Forest River and buy a screen.

My trailer came with one. Great addition, even though I've not had a chance to use it while camping yet.
