Unless you are somehow sleeping on the bitter end and edge of the mattress is it an issue? Going forward just quit running the bunks all the up to the stop.

So you are suggesting that I not use the couches bellow and leave them up so that they support the the bed. Because only way to support the mattress is with the pins and the holes for the pins are at the top or with the couches !!

No I wasn't suggesting not to use the couches. You can move the location of the top supports down some. Look at your printed instructions if you can't figure it out. I was suggesting that when you raise the bed and couches up for traveling, that you not run them all the way up.

The only way to lower the upper bunk park position is to drill new location holes in the track for the pins or use the couches to support the bed at a lower height.

Thanks for the manual. The unit is not here to go look at (@ the dealer) I know the stop blocks are ajustable but there are no holes in the frame to put the pins in if I lower the blocks.

That indent in the mattress goes right to the base. Approx 2.5 - 3 inches deep !

If you move the stop blocks you will need to drill new holes for your pins, and need them pretty precise as the pins need to go in easily at the full up position.

Check the tabs that attach the bed frame/box to the lift. Some are adjustable up and down and this should be in the manual.
