Walk through or pdi

Is it normal for a dealer to charge for the walk through with you? To me it sounds crazy and it should be a given with the purchase of a trailer. They also said that this 800 dollar fee was for proprane fill. I laughed at the guy and said your crazy, I'm not paying that. He also said they need to inspect my truck before the trailer can leave their lot. At that poi t I just got up and started out the door. Salesman asked where I was going and I told him I'm done dealing with this place. He tried telling me all dealers do this. Was I over reacting or is this a gimic. I'm picky about my truck and I my I work on it. I don't like others touching my stuff

I've never heard of a dealer charging for the PDI / walkthrough. That's just part of the buying / delivery process. If that's the way they are when selling you a trailer, how will they be when it is time to do warranty work on it?

I think I'd have to look elsewhere.

Hi clutchd. I live in Painesville right next door. Your instincts are right on regarding that place. I bought my TT at Ruff's in Euclid. They spent hours on my pdi, installed everything on my TV gave me everything I needed to camp all at no charge. Great place. You should give them a try. BTW . .. who was that dealer?

I currently work with a guy who used to work at riffs when they were on route 6 years ago. He said good things about them. I would buy from them but they do not deal in toy haulers. I am currently looking, well actually ordered (with a refundable deposit) a Cherokee grey wolf 21rr from all American coach in sylvania, Ohio. Guys seem great but I haven't been there yet. They had the best price and I Looked at the same trailer at other dealers so I knew exactly what wanted. Should hopefully be here in a few weeks so I can inspect it and we will see how they act and treat me.
