Where Do I Find The Transfer Switch? Sierra
Hello everyone, We have a 2007 Forest River Sierra 19SP Toyhauler. We have owned it new since 2006 and have had no problems until recently.
Coming back from a camping trip, I plugged into shore power at the house and I could not get it to power the toyhauler. I started the generator and that worked. Everything was working, TV, Micro, etc. Tried the shore power again but it still did not work.
I have checked my outlet, shore cord, breakers, fuses, and connections. Everthing is connected tight and there is juice from the outlet and shore cord.
I went to Giant RV and explained my problem to them and without hesitation, the technician said it was the "transfer switch." He showed me what it looks like but said he could not says where it was until he saw the toyhauler( I didn't bring it down since I wanted to fix it myself).
My problem: I cannot find where the transfer switch is. I have removed cabinets, unscrewed panels, looked behind the breaker panel, and underneath the toyhauler and still cannot find it. Does anyone know where it is located at? It has to have one right? Do they keep this hidden in a secret spot so that we are forced to have them service the trailer? It's harder than trying to find Jimmy Hoffa's body. Any help is greatly appreciated. Albert.
