Where to go to see Toy Hauler Options....

OK all, just finally had a chance to post, been busy with family and work for a few days…….

Anyways, my other post a few weeks ago talks about how I am getting ready to purchase a toy hauler and what my options are, keeping in mind my TV is a Ram 1500 with 3.21 rear end.

Short to the point, my limits, expectations and budget led me down the road to either a Grey Wolf 19rr or a 21rr, with the 25rr being a distant option. I was hoping to see at least one of those this past week at the Pittsburgh RV Show, and none of them were there.

Even the dealers who were on Forest River’s website as being a dealer didn’t have any at their lots either.

All of my research has been online and manufacturer websites and owners pictures on forums such as this, but other than the travel trailers at the RV Show, and a Razorback 1950 and 2150, I have yet to see any of the Grey Wolf toy haulers in person.

I was wondering, does anyone know of, or have any experience with RV Dealers, say within 3-4 hours of Pittsburgh, that are Forest River dealers, and have some options on their lots? Mid Ohio up to Toledo is doable.

I don’t mind a weekend trip to look, and I don’t mind the drive. I just want to see some in person.

Bought my 25rr here http://www.paulsherryrvs.com/pages/c...grey-wolf-25rr. November 2013. It was about a 4 hour ride each way. I pull with an '07 F150. 5.4 3:55 gearing, does good. Weight distribution hitch is a must. Also Firestone air bags and good tires. I'm sure there are dealers closer, we made the trip and saved a lot. Very pleased with the unit.

We bought both the one we have on order and our last two ordered rigs sight unseen. Since buying them, I haven't come across one other of the same model at a dealer or RV show. I'm not sure I'm picking out odd floorplans or what but I've gotten used to buying this way.

I've been down this road too. We were hunting for a Palomino Puma unleashed 351THSS, went to the rv show, none. No dealers within 8 hours have one, nothing on CL. We wound up ordering sight unseen, then one popped up used about 70 miles away. We did walk through a 295BHSS the dealer had, which has the same floorplan from the garage wall forward. Some models can be tough to find, that's for sure, but I was very disappointed the show didn't have one.

We started out with the 25rr and we enjoyed it. We pulled it with the wifes 2010 silverado 1500 5.3.

Sorry I can't help you, but I will add that I was very disappointed in the number of toy haulers at the Atlantic City Rv show. I do think that it is still a growing market and that manufactures would want to put them out there a bit more. I'm a few years off from stepping up but would really like to have a game plan and budget in mind, I may have to make the trip to Hershey(as if that would be a big disappointment, lol).

Hershey was the show that we left disappointed from.............

If you're in the market for a 100k+ trailer they had some.

The lower price point units were few and far between.

Dang, I thought Hershey is supposed to be the show of all shows. Guess I'll be cruising the Internet.

Check out 007Rv.com. they are located right outside of Danville Virginia. They has a good many toy haulers on the website but not all they have the time to post. I would say worth the drive. Also if you go therr or call ask for Zac Reeves he rocks! You can tell him that we sent you. He remembers us because we were hus first customer and sale once he moved into sales Good luck
