Thumbs up Work and Play Customer Service

So I was attending the 76th Sturgis rally. First half of the week was HOT during the day. My Dometic AC took a dump on me and quit working. Water heater would not run on propane AND decide it was done working on electric the morning me packed up. Got lucky there!

So last night I shot an e-mail off to Kelly Stutzman at W&P. The "local" W&P dealer is 150 miles from me. That turns out to be 600 miles of driving to get this stuff fixed. Kelly answered the e-mail early this morning. She directed me to a non W&P Forest River dealer 35 miles from me. I contacted them as soon as they opened this morning. They told me to bring it in on Thursday and asked if I could leave it for a few days so they could run the AC and water heater to make sure they knew exactly what was wrong. The tech I talked to said he had run into a bunch of issues with the AC units and had replaced almost all of them under warranty. I will keep you updated to the outcome. The dealer I am bringing it too is:

McKinley and Sons of Saint Ansgar, IA.

Dropped my W&P off at McKinley this morning. Met by one of the owners named Mark. I have never been there before. He went and got the tech (Jim) that was going to do the work. Both of them then asked what needed attention. I asked if he could do everything that needed to be covered under the warranty and he responded "Absolutly.". So Jim, Mark, myself and my wife showed them everything that wasn't right. Also mentioned that the awning would not close properly. After just seconds of looking at it both said it wasn't done right at the factory. "Who sold this to you?" was a question that was asked. So sometime next week (yes, next week, not months from now) they said it should be ready.
Got a great feeling from these folks. See how it turns out.
