Air And Scare

FYI, On October 25th 2008 the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum located in Chantilly VA is having there annual Halloween event. It's called AIR & SCARE. Children come to the Museum with there costumes on. The Smithsonian has all kinds of activities going on for the children, like crafts in the classrooms, free candy, Imax moves and more. Just wanted to pass this on in case anyone was in the area or would like to make plans to visit the Museum. The children have had a great time in the past 5 years.

Just thought I would pass this on. Air and Scare is happening this Saturday the 25th. I have more info, there will be face painting, crafts, teen karaoke, trick or treating, Free Imax movie tickets, Halloween story time. So if you and your little ones are in the area stop by and make sure the kids are wearing there Halloween costumes. This event is free but parking is $10.00 a car load. This year there area expecting the biggest turn out ever. This is the 4th annual Air and Scare event put on by the Education Department, attendances is expected to be over 15,000. By the way, Collections just hung a new plane from the ceiling today just above the left wing of the (French) Concord and Ground breaking has just started for phase 2 of the Air and Space Museum, It is the new Restoration Hanger, opening in 2010. This is where visitors can watch Smithsonians Collection Department actually Restore the air craft from a walk around glass cat walk. If you get a chance bring the little ones out, they will have a great time.
