Another Bad Day for Camping World

Just read today the company that is the exclusive hauler for Camping World, Country Wide RV Transport, went foot up due to a 23.6 million dollar wrongful death lawsuit involving one of their drivers. The company recently was the defendant in a civil lawsuit involving a driver who fell asleep at the wheel and killed a husband and wife.

The 540 drivers that currently work for the RV transport company will be out of work effective Nov. 1

This probably won't help Camping World Holdings stock price which has tumbled from about $16 in January to about $8 as of today. Not good news for anybody waiting for a new RV on order from them.

My bet is the transport company dissolves and then reopens with a new name a week or two later.

Plus, they were all contract drivers. I'm betting Horizon Transport will pickup all of the deliveries and drivers and there won't be a whole lot of change to the actual deliveries.

They'll probably be back in a couple weeks, declared bankruptcy to dodge the payout, "restructure, re-title, rename, resume" as so many companies do. Or the contractors they were using will just line up at the "new" company front door.
