That is the fault of your dealer! They would much rather put off your claim blame the manufacturer and then charge you more than the real cost of the repair.

I bought the 2nd year warranty and never had to use it as the V-Lite tt are some of the best built. This was on the 2nd one I bought. The first V-lite had few issues that where taken care of by dealer in the first year. It was the best bang for the buck back then. Later RJD

I took delivery of my 2018 Cardinal 3250 in September and was offered extra year for $250. Not sure if it’s just certain brands.

My crocked dealer, Out of Doors Mart never told me about the FR extended warranty. Pushed the fancy high end one though.

You took delivery in September but when did you order it or pay for it?

I ordered it in July and picked it up in mid September. Sent the form in with my $250 within the 90 days of delivery as specified on the form. I payed 10% down at order and remainder after walk-thru.

Some of the Thor products now offer bumper to bumper 2 year warranty so I don't think Coachmen or Forest River was in trouble with the Indiana Insurance commission, otherwise Forest river would have dropped all warranty across the board ...

It was the 2nd year having to be purchased separately, from the included 1 year factory warranty, that the states viewed it as insurance, from what I read.

Now there would be nothing to stop them from just including it, but that might get pricey.

The fact that they don't offer this anymore plus the way they've handled my 2nd year warranty claims has lead me to leave FR out of my next toy hauler purchase.
We have only so much leverage against big companies; especially over low money disputes with a billion dollar company.
But we can take our $70,000 the next time and buy somewhere else. I do have that right.

I b ought it for my Cedar Creek. I was surprised to see it doesn't cover everything like the original warranty did.

Picked up our 2017 8289WS around labor day last year. Filled out the extra one year paperwork, sent that in with $150.00. Received our confirmation a short time later. Have had no issues to correct as of yet.
