Forest River Extended Warranty Discontinued

Just got our attempt at the one year extended warranty returned from Forest River. As of 2018 model year, they are no longer offering the 1 year extended warranty. Dang . . . .

There’s a long thread on this already. But supposedly it came down to some kind of legal issue with some states.

I read somewhere that the Indiana department of insurance accused them of selling an insurance product without proper licensing...

It could be legal issues, but they could add 150 to the cost and include the 2nd year. If they wanted to 😎

That’s exactly what should happen. 2 year vs 1 year warranty!

I never heard of it until about a month ago on another thread. I picked up my 2018 Hyper Lite 30hds in April 2017 and of course they never told us about it.

A lot of dealers never mentioned it. Even when it was available.

I was offered a 5 year extended warranty that I would have to pay 150 per month for ten years. Why would I buy a warranty that I had to pay for after it expired? After I said no the financial person at the dealership changed her attitude for the worse.

I thought it was good PR to offer the second year warranty the way they did. I guess they had their reasons for dropping it.

No big loss

No big loss. I could never get them to address the warranty issues during the first year.
